Tadawul index gains 1.66%
Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Stock Exchange gained 1.66% on Saturday, closing at 5,466.49 points. The three food companies Thim'ar , Saudi Fisheries and Fodd Products posted the largest gains (all up over 9.8%). <BR>Market bellwether Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) jumped 8.92% on positive inputs from Western exchanges and on oil prices rebounding over $50 per barrel. SABB Takaful declined by 7.89%, posting the largest loss on profit bookings. The Islamic insurance operator has been a Saudi top performer on a year-to-date basis. [AMEInfo.com]
